NEMA's terraces offer Wi-Fi and sound systems and are equipped with outdoor heaters for year-round and nighttime comfort. At the 24th floor, the Skyline Terrace is a relaxing retreat with spectacular city and San Francisco Bay views to enjoy during a sunrise yoga class, while getting a tan on a sunny afternoon, or over a glass of wine at sunset.
Each of NEMA’s three terraces features landscape design inspired by Northern California’s greatest natural escapes–Napa Valley, Big Sur, and Muir Woods–bringing some of the region’s indigenous plants and trees right into the heart of the city. Created as outdoor living spaces, the terraces feature contemporary furnishings by American design firms. Comfortable seating and lounging options invite residents to relax, recharge, and socialize with friends.
NEMA’s light-filled Club Solarium is inspired by the sophisticated yet low-key atmosphere of Northern California’s wineries. Supple leathers and linens, various varieties of wood, and natural stone frame this welcoming lounge. An exposed ceiling structure with reclaimed barn wood beams is complemented by paneled oak and reclaimed barn wood walls. A rustic central fireplace clad in stone is surrounded by several large comfortable seating areas.
Ideal for impromptu gatherings with friends and neighbors, this lounge also features a pool table, wet bar, and a kitchenette, and is equipped with a 65-inch wide screen television with a movie library.
The third floor Urban Terrace, furnished with lounging areas and outdoor TVs, is NEMA’s private urban park, and features a 60-foot lap pool with an environmentally friendly saline water treatment system, a large fire pit surrounded by cozy seating, and welcoming grassy areas.
On the 11th-floor Backyard Terrace you will find grilling stations with dining tables, outdoor TVs, and living room-style seating areas designed for lounging and entertaining.

Designed with wide plank oak floors and a mirror wall, the 1,500-square-foot Energy Solarium opens to the landscaped greenery of NEMA’s third floor Urban Terrace via floor-to-ceiling glass doors. The Solarium presents a airy light-filled space ideal for yoga practices, TRX, and other group fitness classes, as well as social happy hours and dance parties. Serving as the perfect canvas for events and special occasions, Energy Solarium can be reserved for private use.
NEMA's Spin Studio, Energy Solarium, and Skyline Terrace all host group fitness classes. Private instruction is also available by top-certified fitness professionals.
NEMA’s 7,000-square-foot Fitness Center offers an innovative approach to health and wellness founded on the latest exercise science research. Designed with dramatic murals of the California coastline and large open spaces for movement training exercises, it offers a wide range of sophisticated cardio equipment as well as superior strength training machines. All cardio equipment is set up for internet browsing and TV programming.
Spa treatment rooms, with textured walls and driftwood-colored oak floors, provide a tranquil atmosphere for massage and beauty treatments without needing to leave the building.
Club Solarium’s 10-foot long communal table—crafted from a single piece of reclaimed barn wood—and sculpted tree-stump stools create the ultimate shared workspace. When it’s time to celebrate, Club Solarium hosts intimate dinner parties and wine tastings.
