SF Opera, only 0.3 miles from NEMA San Francisco. They have been thrilling audiences in San Francisco since 1923 and are known for commissioning numerous world premieres, training some of opera's greatest young artists, and creating innovative programs and events to inspire a new generation of opera goers. The San Francisco Opera’s 2024-2025 season opens with their Opera Ball on September 6, with Un Ballo in Maschera on stage September 6-27then The Handmaid’s Tale (September 14-October 1)followed closely by Tristan and Isolde (October 19-November 5)and Carmen (November 13-December 1), with the Carmen Encounter on November 21. SF Symphony, only 0.3 miles from NEMA San Francisco. The San Francisco Symphony is an award-winning symphony, led by Music Director Esa-Pekka Salonen. The SF Symphony‘s robust 2024-2025 calendar of performances includes the Opening Gala with Lang Lang (September 25) and fall concerts like Salonen Conducts Verdi’s Requiem (September 19-21), Enigma Variations (November 7-9), and Labadie conducts Mozart (November 21-23), among many other events such as Music for Families (October 26) and Día De Los Muertos (November 2). Asian Art Museum, only 0.3 miles from NEMA San Francisco. The museum is home to one of the world’s finest collections of Asian art, boasting more than 18,000 awe-inspiring artworks ranging from ancient jades and ceramics to contemporary video installations. SF JAZZ Center, only 0.3 miles from NEMA San Francisco. Opened in 2013, SF JAZZ is located on the corner of Franklin and Fell Streets in the heart of San Francisco’s arts district, and includes two performance spaces, multiple music practice rooms, a digital lab, and the B-Side restaurant and bar. Featuring 350+ concerts over the course of nine months, the SF JAZZ 2024-2025 season starts September 5 and marks the start of Terence Blanchard’s official inaugural season as Executive Artistic Director. UNSTAGED, less than 1 mile from NEMA San Francisco. Happening the first Thursday of September, October and November from 4-7pm. Live on Mid-Market, is a free, interactive, live performance experience featuring an F Train jazz club, live bands & DJs, buskers and makers, immersive soundscapes, cooking classes, interactive art carts, and drag lip sync on Market Street between 5th and 6th.

11th Annual More Than 2 Blocks of Art, less than 1 mile from NEMA San Francisco. On September 21-22, explore art throughout reimagined buildings spaces, in plazas, on sidewalks, in galleries and restaurants, and more — at More Than 2 Blocks of Art! Happening on Market Street between 5th and 9th streets, this free event showcases the incredible talent of local artists, bringing together a diverse range of art forms in unique showcase spaces.
