Berkeley Half Marathon, Feb 27, 2022. Take to the streets and race through Berkeley. It’s like a big city marathon with a small-town feel. This scenic course, comfortable for runners of all levels, takes you down historic Telegraph Avenue, through Cal Berkeley’s iconic Sather Gate and around the beautiful Cal campus. From beautiful North Berkeley and the vibrant Fourth Street district on your way to the finish line, with the community and your fellow runners cheering you on. A celebration is waiting for you in Civic Center Park along with your finisher medal!
Napa Valley Marathon, March 6, 2022. Following the famed Silverado Trail from Calistoga to Napa, this point-to-point marathon passes beautiful scenery, vineyards, and some of the most world-renowned wineries along the way. Get the VIP package and wake up in your vintage inspired room on race morning, grab an included runner’s breakfast from the restaurant on property. Walk out the back entrance and hand over your backpack to gear check. Meander to the start line and begin your marathon journey to Napa.
Bay to Breakers, May 15, 2022. Bay to Breakers starts in the Embarcadero neighborhood and takes you through nine of the city’s most notable neighborhoods—all the way to the Great Highway, where the breakers crash into Ocean Beach. More than 50,000 costumed runners gallivanting around San Francisco makes for quite the spectacle. This race has been around the block a few times: Runners, walkers, joggers, and partiers have participated in Bay to Breakers for over a century.
Napa to Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon, July 16 & 17, 2022. Wine drinkers who love to run—this race is for you. With a point-to-point course through some of Napa and Sonoma’s most beautiful vineyards, you’ll have plenty of scenery to gawk at before you end in historic Sonoma Plaza. The best part: Every finisher gets a wine glass to taste the offerings from more than two dozen wineries.
Tough Mudder Sonoma, August 27 & 28, 2022. Get ready to shift into overdrive because Tough Mudder Sonoma is back at Sonoma Raceway in 2022. Just an hour from downtown San Francisco you’ll put the pedal to the metal on an insane course full of scenic vistas, rolling hills, and world-famous obstacles.
The Lake Tahoe Lakeside Marathon, October 14, 2022. The Lakeside Marathon course starts in California at Lakeside Beach at 6230' and goes up to 7000' at Spooner Summit and back down to near lake level at 6300' and finishes in Nevada at Incline Village. The Lakeside marathon is a few hundred yards in CA and 99.8% in NV, meaning it can be counted for either state in your quest to run all 50 states. This race is the First leg of the Tahoe Triple Marathon.
Run The Bridge Golden Gate Half Marathon, November 6, 2022. Celebrate the 20th edition of the Golden Gate Half Marathon & 5K. The half marathon utilizes the sidewalks to cross the Golden Gate Bridge, twice. Runners enjoy views from both sides of the bridge plus a total elevation gain of 907ft with a downhill finish line. Perfect Fall weather and incredible views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco Bay and Alcatraz await.
Want to train at home? NEMA’s 7,000-square-foot Fitness Center offers an innovative approach to health and wellness founded on the latest exercise science research. Designed with dramatic murals of the California coastline and large open spaces for movement training exercises, it offers a wide range of sophisticated cardio equipment as well as superior strength training machines. All cardio equipment is set up for internet browsing and TV programming.
