Union Square is a 2.6-acre public plaza bordered by Geary, Powell, Post, and Stockton Streets in downtown San Francisco, California. Concerts, comedy shows, clubbing, and cabaret, it’s safe to say, there’s never a dull moment around here.
The Palace of Fine Arts is just outside of the Presidio and one of the best hiking spots in San Francisco to get out of nature while still being in the city. A walk around the lagoon makes for a scenic city stroll without any strenuous hills.

Coit Tower, a slender white concrete column rising from the top of Telegraph Hill, has been an emblem of San Francisco’s skyline since its completion in 1933, a welcoming beacon to visitors and residents alike. Its observation deck provides 360-degree views of the city and bay, including the Golden Gate and Bay bridges.
Angel Island State Park is a fantastic place to feel like you’ve really escaped for the day. The island is only accessible by boat. With land and sea and 360° views of the Bay Area, there isn’t much you can’t do or see from Angel Island. Whether you hike to Mount Livermore, bike around the Perimeter Road, or just picnic at Ayala Cove, you can see everything from wildflowers to whales and local landmarks to international icons.
